Effects of pentobarbital injection on CHA-induced hypothermia. Rats in which hypothermia was induced by the combination of CHA injection and cooling were additionally given pentobarbital by intraperitoneal injection and ECG was recorded. Representative abnormal ECGs recorded from these rats are shown. ECGs reflecting the occurrence of ventricular fibrillation (a) and complete atrioventricular block (b) were observed in two and three of the six rats, respectively. P wave and QRS complex are indicated by arrowheads and arrows, respectively
