CSN–AoN, sequential denervation of the carotid sinus nerves followed by the aortic nerves. ‘Intact’, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and ‘all’ mean that the number of denervated baroafferent nerves was zero, one, two, three, and four, respectively. RSNA was recorded in seven of the ten rats of the AoN–CSN group and in five of the seven rats of the CSN–AoN group
