a The change in total time period between the two Stroop tests (Stroop 1 and Stroop 2) were plotted against the absolute time period for the Stroop 1 in individual trials. Open circles and small bars indicate their mean values ± SE. Dynamic exercise at 40 and 60 % of maximal voluntary exercise (EXmax) shortened the total time period for the Stroop test, whereas dynamic exercise at 20 % EXmax did not alter the time period (Table 2).
