Note that high correlations were observed between \( \dot{V}_{{{\text{O}}_{ 2} }} \) and \( \dot{V}_{\text{CO}} \) (r = 0.89–0.99), and between \( \dot{V}_{\text{E}} \) and \( \dot{V}_{\text{CO}} \) (r = 0.98–0.99), respectively.
